‘Resilience’ is the process of “adapting well in the face of adversity, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress.” That’s the description from The American Psychological Association. If you know anything about me personally, you know ‘Resilient’ is my middle name. (Actually Jean but hey this is showbiz) I’m drawn to others who possess the same quality and I happened to catch an amazing article on the subject of ‘resilience’ in Forbes written by a business gal pal I admire. Paula Conway, is a best selling author with Harper Collins and President and Founder of Astonish Media Group in NYC. Knowing full well this trait does not come naturally to everybody she penned, “How To Strengthen Your Resilience For The Road Ahead” for Forbes Womens Media. It’s great. Everyone should read it.
Paula says, “Our ability to muster up the energy and courage to meet the day’s demands and the mercurial nature of the pandemic we face requires added endurance and strength, something we need right now but also need to build for future reserves so that we may emerge even stronger.”
