What would you do to save your child? ‘NO LETTING GO’ tells the story of a young teenager who struggles with a debilitating mental illness and how his mom risks everything to save him without losing the rest of her family. Writer/Producer Randi Silverman stops by today (10:20am eastern) to share the triumph of creating a film based on her real life and a challenge others may relate to. The film powerfully presents the Spencer family whose middle son, Timothy, struggles with anxiety, depression and a mood disorder. As his symptoms worsen, his parents are faced with painfully difficult choices that will change their lives forever.

NO LETTING GO received incredibly positive feedback at its world premier (September 2015) at the NYC Mental Health Film Festival from an audience of over 370 people. In addition to being selected to screen at over 12 international film festivals in 3 different countries in the past 2 months, NO LETTING GO has won 7 AWARDS! (3 awards from the Southampton International Film Festival (England) and 4 awards in the Accolade Global Film Competition.)

ONE MORE SCREENING IN NEW YORK:

NO LETTING GO will be screening in New York at the Yonkers Film Festival (http://www.yofifest.com

) on Saturday, October 24th at 6:00pm at The Riverfront Library Theater, Community Theater 2nd Floor, 1 Larkin Plaza, Yonkers. Tickets can be purchased ($10) at the door the day of the screening.

They continue to work on finding distribution so that the film can be seen publicly, but in the meantime this weekend’s Yonkers screening is the only scheduled opportunity to
see the film locally.
