Our culture has routinely underestimated this demographic says psychologist Mary Pipher. “Contrary to the cultural scripts that say women are old and useless and in the way — diminished versions of their former selves — in reality older women are the happiest demographic in the country,” Pipher says. Her new book, “Women Rowing North: Navigating Life’s Currents and Flourishing as We Age,” has just entered its fifth printing since it was published on Jan. 15th.

I wasn’t surprised at all it took a teenager to discover a software flaw that allowed people to eavesdrop on others while using FaceTime on iPhones. But I’m thinking Apple was a little shocked that with all their resources, it took 14-year-old Grant Thompson of Tucson, Arizona who was playing video games to discover the problem.
Apple is now going to contribute to Grants college fund and pay a bounty to him and his family for discovering the flaw. I’m thinking Grant already has a job lined up…before he gets to college. LOL
