Anyone ‘reconsidering’ swimming at the NJ Shore this summer?
‘Elias’, a 100 pound 7 foot Hammerhead shark, has been swimming around the NJ coast the past week. Spotted in Belmar NJ yesterday and very near the boardwalk in Asbury Park. We know it’s ‘Elias’ because my shark guy heard often on this show , Dr. Gregory Skomal tagged him on July 17th after he was caught in the Carl Denenberg Memorial Shark Eye Tournament in Montauk. Tagging of a smooth hammerhead is a milestone said Dr. Skomal.
