In 1984, important changes were set in motion when the Singer family–who had been in the heating oil business in the New York Metropolitan area since 1927–acquired the company. At the time of the acquisition, Robison provided service to approximately 7,000 homes. Under Singer management, that number has nearly quadrupled.
This successful growth can be attributed to the fact that the company remains a family-run organization, led by brothers David Singer and Daniel Singer.
