You Can’t Hurry Love…Or Can You? Vegas style quickie weddings are now available in NYC! (Sorry no Elvis) In NYC where you can get pretty much ‘anything’ it’s hard to believe nobody thought of this before.
The Love Chapel NYC was the ‘Risk It or Regret It” pandemic inspired move for corporate photographer Bradley Lau whose core business came to a screeching halt thanks to Covid and the corporate world being turned on its head.
A NYC licensed officiant and ordained Interfaith Minister too, Bradley has performed hundreds of wedding ceremonies and always dreamed of opening his own Love Chapel. Convincing his wife Veronica to team up wasn’t hard. She owns Wedding Packages NYC, a wedding elopement company. She’s also a licensed officiant and performs bi-lingual ceremonies. (She’s also a spicy fun ball of energy)
A ‘Love Chapel’ ceremony can be Civil or Religious. It can be 10 minutes or 2 minutes (if you do, you do, you do, really want to hustle). Guests are capped at 14 for the 10 minute ceremony where you get 40 extra minutes in the Chapel. For the 2 minute version you can have 4 guests and 5 minutes. (Maybe don’t bother taking off your coat.) A reminder that at the very least …you gotta have a witness. Photos after at nearby Central Park a block away make it extra fun. Don’t forget your Marriage License! (How to get one is on their website.)
Cupids’ Covid Rules? Everyone must wear a mask but the couple does get to take the mask off during ceremony and for the kiss. All guests must have their temperature taken upon entering and those with fever will be asked to leave. Hand Sanitizer is available and HEPA Filters are always running. The Love Chapel is cleaned after each gathering.
Listen to this short fun podcast of our live radio interview on The Debbie Nigro Show and meet fun couple Bradley Lau & Veronica Moya Lau and let’s find out who’s goin’ through the brown door on W. 75th St. to the Love Chapel NYC this week.
