What is the Constitution? Why does the president have 35 bathrooms in the White House? How long did it take to create the Constitution? When did the Liberty Bell crack? I don’t really understand the Electoral College. Can I get any clarification? These are some of the 20 Questions kids ask the most on Constitution Day. As part of the annual Constitution Day celebration, the National Constitution Center hosts a live chat with schools all across America. In all, they receive about 3,000 questions from classrooms each year, asking everything from what the real estate value was for the White House (around $250 million, without the furnishings) to who was the cutest president (they didn’t have an answer for that). But many questions were serious, and many the same topics were brought up. Here are the 20 questions kids in middle and high school most ask about the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, and the president.
Reviewed them all on todays’ show and I gotta tell you many adults have the same questions.
