The Coins! The Coins! They’re worth a fortune! The undersea treasure hunting Schmitts family of Sanford, Fla. held a news conference this week to talk about their million-dollar find of sunken Spanish treasure off the Florida coast. A single coin called a Royal made for King Phillip V of Spain. The coin — nicknamed “Tricentennial Royal” — is dated 1715 and could be worth about $500,000. Chris Moran owner of ‘The Happy Coin’ in Cos Cob, Ct. , Buyers & Sellers of Quality Numismatic Material, is on today to talk about the find, and encourage you to bring in any coins you have, to see how much they’re worth. Maybe you have you’re own hidden treasure in your house?
