I’ve been spending a boatload of time with AI.

Mostly with ChatGPT — till recently.

Me and Chat had a nice thing going. We’ve spent intimate hours together getting to know one another. I was getting comfortable.

Then Chat started aggravating me.

I’d give it REAL photos for a presentation slide and say, “Use THESE people.” And it would come back with completely different people.

It even turned ME into somebody else more than once.

I’m like, Hello? After all the time we’ve spent together, you don’t know what I look like?

When it gave me an extra finger in a photo, I sensed it was time to reassess our relationship.

So, I started thinking maybe ChatGPT and I shouldn’t be exclusive.

Kinda reminded me of my old dating days when I had all my eggs in one basket and thought, “Hmmm…maybe I should play the field a little. You know…see what else is out there.”

I was sharing my thoughts about this with a very smart MBA business guy who said, “You should be using Claude too.”

“I gotta use Claude too?”

OK, fine. So I checked out Claude and added him to my life.

To be honest, I’ve  been involved with Gemini for a long time too — I just never knew his name. I started taking him completely for granted because he’s always been there for me. In the car. In a park. In a store. Always loyal. You know the type.

Now I use all three of them.

Yes, I’m now ‘Playing the Field’ with AI.

ChatGPT still thinks we’re exclusive. Claude and I are getting to know each other — but I did tell him about Chat. Gemini just hangs around low-key, with no pressure — he’s always free to help whenever I need to Google something. So no need to explain myself there.

Basically, I’m dating multiple AI platforms right now and refusing to commit.

Frankly, at this stage of my life, I never thought I’d be juggling this many relationships.

They all intrigue me, but so far there isn’t one that can give me everything I need.

And joking aside, here’s what fascinates me about all of them:

AI is making it possible for ordinary people like me to create things faster than ever before.

And it’s giving extraordinary people — in medicine, science and other fields — tools that could accelerate solutions to some of humanity’s biggest challenges.

So maybe the lesson is the same in technology as it is in dating:

Stay curious. Keep your options open. Try and spend quality time. But take your time to learn.

May the best AI win your heart.

Onward!
