That’s The Spirit! My ongoing show theme during this Covid-19 nightmare has been to shine a bright light on people and companies who are ‘pivoting’ and being resourcefulness to not only stay in business, but also do something meaningful for others. My Feature Interview today sure gives me a big proud smile. (l had my people call her people to book her LOL) You may have spotted 22 year old Sydney Nigro, my amazing niece, hot off Westchester News12 in the N.Y. area. A young female entrepreneur, she is an event designer and owns “The Board Boss” – which makes really cool ‘doughnut walls’ for events with delicious donuts you can eat. Needless to say when the pandemic hit, she hit a wall herself when people canceled all their parties. She got resourceful and is now selling balloon arrangements customers can buy to send to front-line workers. Sydney is delivering ‘Year of the Nurse’ balloon orders to hospitals in the NY area. About those doughnuts? She takes 15% of every sale to buy and donate those donuts to front-line workers.
PS She’s one of those hard working young folks hustling to pay back their student loans that I hope gets some relief from the proposed ‘Heroes Act’ reported in Forbes that I wrote about today.
