Rich ‘Big Daddy’ Salgado is a BIG deal. You can’t believe how beloved this man is for all that he does to raise money and help people.
This week is the 5th Big Daddy Celebrity Golf Classic being held at the spectacular Oheka Castle on Long Island. Just as spectacular is the guest list. Also for the second year proudly included in this big event is the SHER Women’s VIP Luncheon. The SHER Group organization founded by Anhelika Steen-Olsen is a sisterhood of the resilience of extraordinary women.
As a SHER ambassador Rich “Big Daddy” Salgado supports the group as a committed partner to the United Nations’ #HeforShe initiative; a solidarity group within an international platform that engages men as allies supporting the work of the women’s movement and helps accelerate progress toward gender equality. Michael Strahan, Tracy Morgan, Victor Cruz, Justin Tuck and Jeff Hoffman are just a few of the great men who support the journey and help carry their voices.
The beneficiaries of this year’s events are:
Pop Earth – a non -profit focused on providing holistic health services and options for those with special needs, including Autism and other developmental disorders.
Kids Need More Organization – creating opportunities where children, families and young adults coping with cancer and illnesses can celebrate life in a safe and positive environment.
This year they are proudly supporting the children in need and the Long Island community and concurrently working with displaced children of Ukraine.

Rich “Big Daddy” is involved with all the major sports leagues and most TV networks. In addition to being a Super Bowl commentator, he founded an insurance company called Coastal Advisors to build insurance plans to protect athletes, entertainers, and business professionals. He just made his first video business card.
“Big Daddy” is personally well aware how life can throw a curveball. He’s survived a brain aneurysm. (And recently COVID.) When his life was saved first time around he decided he would do his best to save others lives. Thus the continuing legacy of his fundraising celebrity golf outings to which celebrities happily attend without compensation and his own continuing legacy as a philanthropist as well.
