New York is projected to become the nation’s second largest legal cannabis market after California with an estimated $4.2 billion dollar market within 5 years. BUT as of now there are still a LOT of of very ‘gray’ legal areas being worked on.

You can legally possess up to 3 oz. of cannabis in NY and you can legally consume it and legally gift it, but you cannot legally sell it for adult use…yet.

So when will New York see it’s first dispensaries open? Most likely October according to New York’s Most Sought After Cannabis Lawyers who are ramping up for what’s to come.

‘Prince Lobel’ the nations most trailblazing cannabis law firm, is expanding its offices to New York City and White Plains, NY. They’ve tapped New York’s most ‘in demand’ cannabis lawyers to join forces with them.

Cannabis law superstars James (Jim) K. Landau, Douglas S. Trokie, and David C. Holland are now working together! They took time out of their crazy busy schedules to join me to share what’s going on behind the scenes in the New York cannabis industry right now.

All three have been working, studying, learning and speaking and basically ramping up for when licensing is up and running. They’re very busy writing the rules and regulations for what the marketplace will look like.

If you want to know the latest, tune in to this podcast interview and hear all three top cannabis lawyers tell you what’s happening in the New York Cannabis world and what to expect next.

For one thing the 148 pre-existing hemp farmers in New York were just given the green light to put the first THC crop in the ground which should be ready this October. And New York  State is going to build out storefronts for the first 150 dispensary card licensees to help them avoid high start up costs to get going.

We talk about everything from social justice issues to how soon the banking industry is going to do something about all that dispensary cash being driven around.

I did also ask them if they thought everybody in New York was soon going to be high, to which they had no official legal answer. Just the chuckle I expected.

Enlightening conversation with brilliant legal minds on this hot topic.  Enjoy!
