“Made In America” week kicked off in the US last week and got me thinking about how we can step this up. I featured a company last week doing it right called ‘Tidal Flip Flops’ Made in America (New Rochelle, NY). Great product and even better they’re hiring and training veterans to work there. Then my pal John Abplanalps ‘Tight Lines Advisor’ Newsletter landed in my email. John’s company advises manufacturers how to do everything better increase the bottom line. He said, “Most recently, a number of market forces have aligned to make the re-shoring overseas operations a consideration for U.S.-based manufacturers. Among the influential factors are a growing reduction in the wage gap between American and foreign labor, lower U.S. energy costs, and a greater ability to control scheduling, supply-chain and quality.” Invited John in to report the latest today on the show at 10:20am eastern.
