1. Convey your business concept, charity, or message in a compelling way

2. Use succinct message points that are clearly presented and most importantly exude a passionate undertone

3. Show how your idea will provide a niche, solution or make an impact in your community

4. Know the tone of the publication as well as the journalist to ensure it’s the right fit
