Trying to raise her children and keep it going she took a position at a hedge fund closer to her home. So close she could bike back and fit in her exercise into her ‘too busy’ day. One day she was biking home and was hit by a car. That was her “aha” moment. Questioned what she was doing w…

No shortage of women who want to be cast in a major movie as prisoners! If you live in the NY Tri-State area you may have seen this story below last week about a production company casting for 50 Hudson Valley NY women to be in a movie acting as prisoners! You Too Can Learn To Speak “SPINGLISH”! For instance, you never need to tell people they are fired ever again. Instead you can inform them you are raising the bar on talent, dehiring, or making a modest reduction in near-term headcount. Or better still, you might say you’re offering them a career change opportunity. That’s SPINGLISH! Putting a little SPIN on the English language to say something just a touch more politically correct. LOL Funny as heck.

Elon Musk is on track to become America’s most innovative industrialist and outlandish thinker ever to set foot in Silicon Valley.
Musk is being called the Thomas Edison of our time, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek writer Ashlee Vance, one of the most prominent writers on technology today, was given unprecedented access to him. Vance joins the show today at 10:21am eastern, for a fascinating talk about his New York Times bestselling book, “ELON MUSK: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future”.
One fact in the book that really struck me personally, was that when Musk was a kid doctors thought he might be hard of hearing for how often he was entirely in his own world in his own head. Obviously, he was ‘different’ and a unique thinker from very early on. He was also ‘bullied’, as kids who are different sometimes are.
Ashlee Vance conducted hundreds of interviews with Musk’s former colleagues and friends, and had tons of in-depth conversations with Musk himself. He really captures Musk’s tumultuous upbringing in South Africa, his flight to the United States, his sale of PayPal for $1.5 billion, and his pursuit of his dramatic technological innovations in three different industries. Musk is the innovator behind SpaceX, Tesla, and SolarCity.
“A tremendous look into arguable the world’s most important entrepreneur. Vance paints an unforgettable picture of Musk’s unique personality, insatiable drive and ability to thrive through hardship.” ?Washington Post
Vance’s Food For Thought:
In the next ten years, Americans could wake up to the most modern highway in the world: a transit system run by thousands of solar-powered charging stations and transversed by electric cars. We may see launches of rocket ships daily, full of people and cargo, preparing for longer treks to Mars. A trip on the Hyperloop could take you from Los Angeles to San Francisco in half an hour. And it may all be thanks to South African-born Elon Musk.
