Everybody’s Got A Story – Some Have Better Stories! Ellen Kaye has some doozies and she’s doing a whole show around them in NYC at The Metropolitan Room on August 8th! She’s decided to tackle her story LIVE. Running away from home and hitchhiking across a fracturing America, with Ted Bundy arriving on the scene in Washington State, the US pulling out of Vietnam, Shirley Chisolm running for President, The Black Panthers, The Weather Underground, The Symbionese Liberation Army with Patty Hearst, and Angela Davis make it an interesting moment to be on the road, seeing the country for the first time. Upon Ellen’s return to NYC she ends up semi-incarcerated for a two-year residency on Harts Island, home to the city’s Potter’s Field, giving a vivid snapshot of the times.
