Back To Business Monday and I don’t even know where to begin. It’s surely not business as usual for many. Hurricane anxiety is subsiding but still high. Erma has calmed a bit after flattening the Caribbean and battering Florida but is still on the move. 6.5 million who evacuated Florida are ‘somewhere’ 7 million who stayed lost power but are getting it back slowly. The heartbreak of what Harvey did to Houston continues and too much water is everywhere. For the record , floods have caused greater loss of life and property than all other natural hazards combined. So much to address and acknowledge today. And then throw in it’s the 16th anniversary of 9/11 and we collectively sigh with heavy hearts. NYC is honoring the 2,996 people who died in the 9/11 attacks in a ceremony this morning. The somber memorial which began at 7 a.m. will pause six times ? twice to mark when the planes hit each of the Twin Towers, twice for when each tower collapsed and two more times to mark the Pentagon and Flight 93 attacks. The Tribute in Light will begin at sunset and end Tuesday at dawn.
All I can personally say, as we start another week as humans, and as a nation, is I wish you all inner strength to carry on. I found this inspiring quote from a woman named Isabel Allende that resonated. “We all have an unsuspected reserve of strength inside that emerges when life puts us to the test.”
Onward!

The Business of Fashion and Art Collide This Week.
I’ve got a special gal pal named Lucia Kaiser. She’s an amazing businesswoman. She’s got a pal named Tod Volpe. He was the Art Dealer to the Stars. He built some of the most prestigious art collections in the world for many celebrities and Royal Families. Lucia told me Tod’s book “Framed” is going to be a TV Series. Together they’re in NY this week showcasing some very some rare art inside a Fashion Week event. Exclusive art actually from the historic Cotton Club.
If Lucia’s excited then I’m listening. Meet Lucia and Tod today on the show at 10:20am eastern for an inside take on what’s going on.
