Award-Winning Filmmaker Catha Jentis Is Producing An Edgy New Digital Series About a Group of Women on Their Midlife Journey. “The Other F Word” will start production in early March. This edgy dramatic comedy follows the exploits of a group of women friends, who are discovering that the angst of raising kids may be nothing, compared to the angst of starting a new chapter of their lives after the kids are grown.

Jentis, the writer/director and executive producer on this project, says “Up until now, men have held a monopoly on the depiction of mid-life crises on TV and in the movies,” and she feels strongly that there is room for more breakthrough shows that cater to this huge, yet under-serviced, desirable women’s demographic. Caytha Jentis is a former literary agent. She has written/producer a number of award-winning features including Bad Parents starring Janeane Garofalo, Cheri Oteri, Christopher Titus and Kristen Johnston.

Joining the production team on “The Other F Word”, and taking on the double role of producer and production designer is Kathleen McDonough, president of KLAD, an award-winning design firm with a long list of theatre, film and television clients, included among them HBO, Sesame Street, SyFy and the Discovery Channel, to name a few.

“We are trending,” says Jentis of this new project. “Cord cutting is the industry buzz word, and our show is about cord cutting…the one between us and our millennial children!”
