Over 1 Million People Have Signed Up and downloaded ZELLO over the last day mostly from Puerto Rico and Florida. What is it? I went to the ZELLO BLOG and decided to post “Tips on Zello Communications During a Disaster.”
Text messaging apps and Zello use a fraction of bandwidth of phone calls and will often work when phone calls won’t get through. This information may be helpful to pass on to anyone you know who may find it useful. Posted By Alexey Gavrilov on September 6, 2017 on the ZelloBlog site below.
DISCLAIMER: This information is a guide for Zello users. It is not intended as a replacement for instructions from government emergency agencies or sanctioned rescue organizations. Please use at your own risk and discretion.
While Zello has been helpful in Harvey relief efforts, it is not a hurricane rescue tool and is only as useful as the people who use it, and as reliable as the data network available. This information will help you understand what Zello can and cannot do, and how to be better prepared.
One great tip!
Write down important phone numbers on a piece of cardboard and place in a waterproof baggie. If your phone goes dead, you can give this to rescuers in order to contact your family and friends and inform them that you are fine.

12 Different Types Of Best Friend Every Girl Has In Her Life! Reviewing the LIST today. My fav is the kind of BFF you can have the best wild laughs with. I’m blessed with many of those. Cant wait to meet the gals behind the new book ‘Disco Fried’ today on the show! They sound like a riot as does the book they wrote together about two best friends desperate to get out of New York running from their own anxieties. Authors Jules Morse and Meli Dez join me at 10:21 eastern.
As we get older, life becomes clearer. Priorities take shape, and the process of learning what we don’t want leads us to better understand what we do want. Friendships, in turn, prove their preciousness with time. When we graduate from high school, college and are scattered around the globe, our best friends are the ones who stick. But another thing happens as we mature; people change. Not fundamentally in their cores, but people do change, and so friendships change, too.
DISCO FRIED THE BOOK:
Mina is a former singer who has just been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. She is dodging calls from a European clinical drug trial and obsessing over her changing appearance. Jill, meanwhile, is a writer trying to sell her latest pilot. She worries that her husband shows no appreciation for her work and struggles to keep her marriage alive. The two decide that a girls’ weekend in the fabulous city of Montreal, Canada, is exactly what they need. They indulge in a suite at the Ritz-Carlton and prepare to explore everything the city has to offer. During one magical three-day stint of barhopping, surprise encounters with old acquaintances, and some very tasty poutine, the two women will confront their true fears and find a way through them, together.
THE AUTHORS:
Jules Morse
Jules an interactive copywriter and brand strategist. Her love of literature was nurtured during her years at Tufts University. Morse spent four years living and working in Los Angeles, California, before moving back to the East Coast. Morse has worked for multiple nonprofits and is on the board of trustees at a prestigious New Englandprep school.
Meli Dez
Meli Dez has been the lead singer in several cover bands, a press release writer, a fundraiser for a political consulting firm, and the right hand to the chairman of one of Wall Street’s most reputable corporate restructuring firms. The singer/songwriter/recording artist had one of her songs released on iTunes in 2012. Her eclectic background and diverse talent has fueled her writing. She loves Magnolia cupcakes, dancing at Bagatelle, and the Turks & Caicos Islands. Dez lives on Long Island with her husband and three children.
