The NY Knicks are reminding us of something bigger than basketball.

As New York rallies around the Knicks’ remarkable playoff run, I’m struck by what may be the real story.

In a city known for its diversity of opinions, backgrounds, and perspectives, people are finding common ground. Strangers are talking. Communities are gathering. Businesses are celebrating. For a few moments, people are putting aside their differences and sharing something positive together.

It reminds us that human beings are wired for connection.

Whether it’s sports, business, family, or community, we all want to belong to something that gives us hope.

The Knicks haven’t just sparked excitement—they’ve sparked conversation, unity, and a sense of collective pride that many New Yorkers haven’t felt in years.

There’s a lesson here for all of us:

People don’t just rally around winning. They rally around perseverance, resilience, and the possibility that something great can happen after years of setbacks.

That’s true in basketball.
That’s true in business.
And that’s true in life.

Sometimes we all need a reminder that we’re still in the game.

Best!
