Do you have any Memorabilia? A ticket stub of a play you went to? A poster from a concert you loved? A Sports Trophy? Tap Dancing Shoes from when you danced at the NY Worlds’ Fair when you were 8? Oh Wait that’s me! LOL …and I just came across those shoes (what’s with the laces?) and my red patent leather dancing school case and the TuTu that was then apparently considered a FourFour! Finding this memorabilia recently took me back clearly to that fateful day when I performed a duet on stage at the NY Worlds Fair with the only other little chubby girl in the dancing school so as not to ruin the entire skinny girl dancing line? I’m thinking that was probably politically incorrect. How ’bout you? Ha! I can still dance that dance for you! Today’s show is all about the memories that memorabilia sparks and the lessons we can learn from others memorabilia left behind to us. Tune in 10-11am EST The Debbie Nigro Show on 1490 WGCH

Memorabilia: things that stir recollection or are valued or collected for their association with a particular field or interest.

What’s your favorite memorabilia from your past?

Could one man’s memorabilia left behind help us better understand our country’s current tumultuous conditions?
David Greene, teacher of teachers, author, and photographer, found the memorabilia his late father-in-law Harry Greissman, an ad man, left behind in the basement, and decided to tell his story. The story is…However bad things might seem in the world today, they are really rather ordinary historically, says David. This book, “He Could Make Words Sing”, was written in order to help Americans better understand today’s tumultuous conditions by comparing them to the far more tumultuous events of the 20th Century through the life of one ordinary man, Harry Greissman. Tune in and meet David Greene at 10:20am EST today. It should give you hope that there is hope for all of us.
