Yes SIGNS are Everywhere! So I stopped to take a shot of some fun ones I caught along my travels recently.
Mostly they’re amusing signs. I’m obviously easily amused.
Thought you’d get a kick out of some of them.
SIGN: Warning about Possible NUDE People at Cape Canaveral National Seashore
Who knew there was nude sunbathing at The Canaveral National Seashore? Needless to say more than a few curiosity seekers have stopped at Beach 13. The road into the seashore entrances is looong, as is the shoreline itself, of this pristine National Park. It’s the longest stretch of undeveloped Atlantic coastline in Florida.
SIGN: A Sign CHEERIOS Wants My Business
Was in a Florida supermarket around Valentine’s Day and noticed Cheerios went right for the heart trying to get my attention. GRANDMA Cheerios? Made in the shape of hearts? Yes, it’s only one personalized special edition version of a Cheerios box created in honor of American Heart Month to rewmind people to take care of their hearts so they can be there for all of life’s special occasions. Found out you can also personalize your own Cheerios Box.
SIGN: Sign The Sun Sets Here
Obviously the sign SUNSET DECK was a clue that you could enjoy seeing the Sun set from this deck. Caught this sunset there on the deck behind the little Hutchinson Plaza Hotel on Hutchinson Island Fla. where we randomly spent 2 days. Who knew Hutchinson Island was so easy peasy. More free and ‘free to be’ beaches there than anywhere in Florida.
SIGN: Advice On Creating A Great Story
Geez this sign cracked me up. It was nailed up behind a table on the outside deck at Chuck’s Seafood Restaurant, THE place to go for food and frolic on Hutchinson Island /Fort Pierce. It’s a landmark since 1961. Some nice guys head was in the way, so I politely asked if he wouldn’t mind sliding over for a minute so I could get this shot. Such true words.
SIGN: “Past Gas” Ha Ha Good One!
Whipped my head around and just caught the shot of this sign while driving by. ‘Past Gas’, a store dedicated to all things old and vintage having to do with gas stations. LOL. We were making the turn into Cocoa Beach Village.
SIGN: Alligators at Mini Golf?
I thought Golf & Gator was just a fun Florida business name for a Miniature Golf Course. Seriously, did I need live ‘gators’ to enhance my mini golf experience. They said they were ‘mini gators’…but still.
SIGN: I Dream of Jeannie Lane
I grew up watching the TV show‘ I Dream of Jeannie’. I always wanted to be a genie or least have a reason to wear star Barbara Eden’s genie outfit. I never did acquire magical powers, and never wore the outfit , and had never been to Cocoa Beach where Jeannie lived with her astronaut ‘master’ …until now. Just had to take a shot of the sign at “I Dream of Jeannie Lane”.
SIGN: Speaking of Dreams…
Have you decided to take a shot at yours?
Time is all you have and time moves very fast.
I can assure you I know all too well how real life obligations, distractions and even illness can get in the way of best laid plans.
But if a dream has been gnawing at you – that’s a sign – you just gotta buck up and try and push a little harder.
Risk It! or Regret It! – is what I always say!
Best!
