Sometimes Mondays are not back to business as usual. Sometimes debilitating health issues get in the way. This weekend 35-year-old NY Mets Captain David Wright played his last game. He is battling spinal stenosis and that will prevent him from continuing his baseball career. He received a hero’s sendoff. Mets Manager Mickey Callaway said these words about Wright. “He exemplifies everything you want out of a player, he holds his teammates accountable, but first and foremost he holds himself accountable”. The man was beloved by so many. So very sad to read of his pain and struggle. So refreshing to read about someone with such character. So important that we’re all reminded often one doors closes and another one opens.
I have a personal quote I’d like to share on a Monday for anyone struggling with being forced to make a change for whatever reason: “Events That Force Change Usually Force You To A Better Place.” Onward!
