ShoeCandy® was invented by former Ralph Lauren designer, Kara Mac – a long time shoe aficionado and mother of 2 who found it challenging to find stylish shoe options that would work for all the parts of her hectic days. Kara recognized that most women led lives that were similarly busy and varied so she set out to create a shoe that could instantly adapt to suit the needs of the wearer without compromising style or quality. In 2013, Kara gave up her full time, fashion designer job to develop her idea. In 2015, Kara teamed up with life-long friend, Ann Merin, a beauty and fashion expert, star of TLC’s Wedding Day Makeover, and a branding expert with an Ivy League MBA and ShoeCandy® was born.
