Has Matty Schirle Really Created Self Esteem In a Bottle?

If you read the reviews of Matty Schirles’ SkinKick line of skincare you might think they actually have created ‘self esteem in a bottle’.

And You’ll Likely Be Intrigued by an accidental finding in in Amazon by a scientist who went there for another reason

People are amazed at how quickly these Skinkick products clear their skin problems. We’re talking blemishes, acne, acne scars and rosacea. Pretty much any skin condition that might make a person not feel so thrilled about their looks.

Matty Schirle said,

“When we got into the acne or the blemish category, the very first 14-year-old woman who used it stood up and said, we changed her life and she said you need to call it self-esteem in a bottle. That’s basically because we deliver clear, healthy, glowing skin and the confidence that comes with that. And the beautiful thing is because we’re natural, we can do that for problem skin and aging skin at the same time. “

Matty who is the Founder and CEO of Skinkick was a former Chemical Engineer. He and his Skinkick Chief Science Officer Dr. Bill Provance developed effective, simple and safe, Naturally Smart(R) formulas that are cruelty free and dermatologist approved clean and natural ingredients, from the nutrient rich Amazon Rainforest!

It’s an Incredible story of SKIN CARE discovery

FINDING BEAUTY IN THE BEAST

The Amazon is beautiful, but it’s also dangerous. When Skinkick Chief Science Officer Dr. Bill Provance traveled to Brazil, he learned about a growing epidemic of parasitic diseases that plagued the native people. Not only did these parasites make people sick, but they also aggravated and inflamed the skin.

Armed with years of studying skin cell biology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dr. Provance began searching for a way to create a natural “second skin” that would prevent rainforest parasites from penetrating the skin and entering the body.

THE A-HA MOMENT

Dr. Provance carefully tested a variety of botanicals on the skin of Brazil’s native people. What he didn’t expect to find was that all of the formulations he tested had a common result: overall improvement and appearance of the skin. He soon discovered that these formulations were leaving the skin smooth, hydrated, and clear. That’s when Dr. Provance had an ah-ha moment. If this “second skin” could clear and beautify the skin of native Brazilians, perhaps it could do the same for others?

That got the attention of Matty Schirle, who then applied his knowledge and know-how to the findings from his 20+ years in the high technology semiconductor industry (computer chips). His mission was to figure out how to eliminate man-made chemicals including harsh acids that destroy the natural skin microbiome.

Dr. Provance and the Skinkick team began working on developing a skincare line that used the same natural ingredients to clear blemishes and renew the skin and SkinKick was born.

 Matty said,

“Well Dr. Bill studied at UT Southwest Med Center here in Dallas and he took a job at the Viacruz Institute which is like the Harvard of Brazil. And so he, even though I’m a chemical engineer, you can move his IQs a few decimal points over from mine. He’s just absolutely brilliant.”

“They had an issue with parasites entering the skin. And the fundamental start of this is when they thought he was going to come up with a vaccine. And what he did is identified a botanical that if you rub it on your arm, it keeps the parasites, like a mosquito or whatever it is, you know, small things from entering your skin.”

“Well, he flew back to Dallas and told the story of how he blocked the parasites, but he said, oh, by the way, that film that I rubbed on, you know, on your skin, it holds moisture under it.”

And right off the bat, the lights go off, because the number one issue with aging, regardless of what you’ve been told, is that the skin cell can no longer hold as much moisture as it did when you were younger. And therefore, less moisture, once it goes down, then the collagen protein has a hard time surviving and it snaps and breaks and it loses its rigidity which is holding the cell up and that’s what starts aging. We started as an anti-aging company but it’s a skin renewal company and now we have clinical trials with all our key ingredients right out of the Amazon rainforest.”

“These natural nutrients somehow clear, renew and protect the skin at the same time! “

Matty says Skinkick’s naturally smart formulas are designed for all ages, genders and skin types even those with sensitive skin so everyone can have clear healthy and glowing skin. Their high-performance skincare clears, renews, and protects your skin without the use of harsh man-made chemicals typically found in popular brands. The secret is in their exclusive patent-protected technologies made with blends of supercharged botanicals.

SkinKick even offers a ‘Happiness Guarantee’ so that if you don’t love your SkinKick order it’s on them!

.

So why aren’t they everywhere?

They started to be, but Covid slammed them because Matty will admit he initially spent most of the money getting the brand into retail vs digital. A decision that’s held them up.

All entrepreneurial stories have their ups and downs…Matty explains.

“I’m the chemical engineer that I can understand what Dr. Bill creates. But I’m not the creator I’m the guy that wrapped a P&L around this technology and brought it to market.”

We had an issue with driving the customer into the store. Well, didn’t a lot of people have that issue during COVID? Yes. But anyhow, I take full responsibility with the digital marketing issue. Yep. I did not have the money to turn on both digital and retail. I focused on retail because Target Corporation incubated us right out of the gate in the Target takeoff incubator.”

The brand landed on the shelves in Target and in CVS and Ulta beauty but without the marketing dollars nobody knew ‘why’ they should buy SkinKick among the giant number of skincare offerings.

Everybody Loves a Comeback Story

“We had some snafu’s and we’re actually back in the gate getting funding. COVID literally knocked our wind out of us and almost knocked us over and almost killed us. But we’re back, we’re going to get funded and we’re teed up ready to go.”

Matty gets amazing testimonials every day in his email. He’s driven to give everyone he can…self-esteem in a bottle of his SkinKick. I WAS DRIVEN to tell his story.

Thought some of you would like to know more about Matty Schirle and his Skinkick brand so I invited him to join The Debbie Nigro Show. Enjoy this podcast of our live conversation. PS I just ordered some to see for myself.

And now, back to the Debbie Nigro Show.

0:00:03
Ok, I do my best to bring you the best that I can find, that have information that we might be able to use, that we have no clue about. Before I write about it, now we’re going to listen together to understand what’s happening in the world of skin care. This is a revolutionary discussion we’re about to have. Hi everybody, I’m Debbie Nigro.

1
0:00:35
Before I introduce you to the CEO and founder of Skinkick, who you’re going to get a kick out of, I just want to remind you that my show is brought to you by the very high integrity Gunnite Pools of Westchester and B. Gruppa Pools. really amazing, great reputation, very loyal and like pillars in their field. Fifty years of doing it, but now people are flying Vinny around the whole planet to design pools, and he loves doing it and boy does he have talent, it just makes you smile.

1
0:01:02
Anyway, check it out, GunitePoolsOfWestchester.com. Okay, so now you’re about to meet Matty, a big personality who I have yet to meet, but I can just tell by everything he writes and what he does in his videos that Matty Sherrill, who is the founder and CEO of Skin Kick, is somebody special. He created self-esteem in a bottle. I think he really did, based on what I’m reading in terms of reviews of his line of skin care.

1
0:01:28
People seem to be amazed at how quickly these all-natural, no-chemical products are clearing their skin problems. We’re talking like acne and acne scars and rosacea and you know blemishes, everything that makes people feel bad about themselves when they look in the mirror when it ain’t right. All right. So, Matty, let’s go. What’s going on? How are you?

2
0:01:52
Good morning. I’m doing great. Thank you for the opportunity.

1
0:01:56
Matty, you’re full of life and I love your skin. I got to be honest, for a guy who’s selling skin care stuff, you look pretty darn beautiful.

2
0:02:04
I appreciate that very much and I got to tell you I haven’t used it on my neck for five years like I used it on my face and you can guess my age closer by looking at my neck but I’ve used it for the last eight months on my neck. I’m dipping in my neck trying to catch up.

1
0:02:21
That’s really funny. Matty, as I was reading the back story and I really think it’s fascinating. I know it’s you involved and your chief science officer, Dr. Bill Provence. Am I saying his name right? Provence?

2
0:02:34
Yes, Provence. Dr. Bill Provence.

1
0:02:36
Right. And I’m saying your name right, Maddie Shirley? Shirley. Shirley. Okay.

4
0:02:41
Shirley is in Temple.

1
0:02:42
Oh, I loved her. Maddie Shirley and Dr. Bill Provence. Now, what happened here is something happened good by accident, and you can tell the story. When Bill, Dr. Bill, was in the Amazon on another mission, a discovery that occurred about the natural nutrients there, and then he came back, and obviously you got involved in with your background as a chemical engineer.

1
0:03:09
The two of you figured out somehow how to take these nutrients in the Amazon forest and make them into a line of skincare without any chemicals that are causing revolutionarily happy reactions in people who’ve had prior skin conditions. So tell the story about

2
0:03:24
the Amazon.

Well Dr. Bill studied at UT Southwest Med Center here in Dallas and he took a job at the Viacruz Institute which is like the Harvard of Brazil. And so he, even though I’m a chemical engineer, you can move his IQs a few decimal points over from mine. He’s just absolutely brilliant. They had an issue with parasites entering the skin.

2
0:03:53
And the fundamental start of this is when they thought he was going to come up with a vaccine. And what he did is identified a botanical that if you rub it on your arm, it keeps the parasites, it’s kind of like a mosquito

2
0:04:06
or whatever it is, you know, small things from entering your skin.

1
0:04:09
Wow.

2
0:04:10
Well, he flew back to Dallas and told the story where, you know, he blocked the parasites, but he said, oh, by the way, that film that I rubbed on, you know, on your skin, it holds moisture under it. And right off the bat, the lights go off

2
0:04:32
because the number one issue with aging, regardless of what you’ve been told, is that the skin cell can no longer hold as much moisture as it did when you were younger. And therefore, less moisture, once it goes down, then the collagen protein has a hard time surviving and it snaps and breaks and it loses its rigidity which

2
0:04:54
is holding the cell up and that’s what starts aging. We actually started as an anti-aging but it’s a skin renewal company and now we have clinical trials with all our key ingredients right out of the Amazon rainforest.

1
0:05:10
I’m laughing at myself as you’re talking about moisture. Too bad bloating doesn’t count as moisture and couldn’t move its way past the inside to the outside of the skin. So that’s why we need you.

3
0:05:23
Okay?

2
0:05:24
Thank goodness you’ve been studying this. No, we need Dr. Bill. I’m the chemical engineer that I can understand what Dr. Bill creates. But I’m not the creator.

1
0:05:32
I’m the guy that wrapped a P&L around this technology and brought it to market. And you wrapped around a happiness guarantee, which to me says a lot about you as the leader because you’re telling everybody that if this doesn’t work, you want them to use it for about 90 days. If this doesn’t work and they don’t love it, the order is on you. So you’re saying no problem, we’ll send it back.

1
0:05:50
What’s really interesting are the substances, the nutrients that are in these things. I’ve never heard of some of them. Do you want to just rattle them off?

2
0:05:59
Sure. So we do acne or problem skin. We call it, actually I should say we do problem skin, which includes blemishes, which people call acne, and then rosacea and eczema. And then we also do skin renewal on the aging side.

2
0:06:15
So on the acne side, it’s cat’s claw extract, dragon’s blood extract, and black willow bark, those are our patented ingredients that help address the problem skin. And then on the anti-aging side, it’s things like, oh, Andyroba, which hydrates your skin, acai, which everybody here probably drank at one time, and it has more vitamins in it than anything, anything. Kamu Kamu, 30 times the vitamin C of an orange.

2
0:06:51
Copa Eva, it acts to smooth and tone the skin. And then Pequi, it moisturizes and nourishes. So those are five key ingredients that we have patented for the anti-aging side.

1
0:07:02
Amazing. You know, and when you go back to dragon’s blood for a second, I was like, what? But that actually accelerates skin repair. It’s a resin, as I was reading, that comes from a certain tree found in the Amazon rainforest.

2
0:07:16
Yes, wow, you’re understanding exactly.

1
0:07:22
And why they’re called the dragon’s blood I read is because the red sap that oozes out of the tree when it’s cut obviously looks like the blood of a dragon. And they’ve done all kinds of clinical studies on how it can promote skin repair, and it’s an antiseptic, and it’s got an antibacterial, an anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial. I’m like, wow, are these all new findings that you guys have, you know, are like the first to know about all these things?

1
0:07:43
I had never heard of any of this before.

2
0:07:45
So you’ve got to understand how we went about it. So we didn’t select ingredients. Dr. Bill knew enough about a skin cell. What he did is identified what are the vitamins, what are the nutrients, what are the omegas that are required to keep a skin cell healthy? So vitamin, nutrient, omega, vitamin, we call it vino or skin vino.

2
0:08:10
So he identified the skin vino and that becomes a specification and we simply searched the world not in our car but on our spreadsheet for which botanicals deliver the highest skin vino. That set the natural botanicals that we were using. And what it does is it creates incredible sustainability because if you can do two things at one time,

2
0:08:36
you’re automatically sustainable, right? Yeah, yeah. So multifunctionality is actually where sustainability needs to be focused, not on changing your packaging. If you have to change your packaging from plastic to paper or paper to plastic, it’s too late. You didn’t design in sustainability. So you don’t start with ingredients, you start

2
0:08:59
with what the ingredients need to deliver.

1
0:09:03
Very, very interesting. I tell you, I read every single thing about your company, Matty, and I’m proud to have you on the show because I think this is really, really wonderful stuff you’re working on here. And I love that somebody, I know one of your users had called it self-esteem in a bottle because she was just so blown away by how quickly it worked and how her life changed by not feeling bad about looking in the mirror and she had more confidence. So I like that self-esteem in a bottle a lot.

3
0:09:28
Yes.

2
0:09:29
The self-esteem was brilliant and that was when we got into the acne or the blemish cart, the very first 14-year-old woman stood up and said, we changed her life and you need to call it self-esteem in a bottle. That’s basically because we deliver clear, healthy, glowing skin and also the confidence that comes with that.

1
0:09:52
Yeah, it’s great.

2
0:09:53
The world is all about, you know, our image now that we have a cell phone. Our personas are set by our cell phones.

1
0:10:01
Amazing. And so… How far it’s gone, yeah, absolutely. And there’s all kinds of people feeling inept about themselves, and you’re changing that with Skin Kick. And I know you’re passionate about this.

1
0:10:10
I know you’re not looking at this just as a business, even though you’re a businessman and it was clear you did the PNL, you weren’t the researcher. But you know, you want people to know that you and your crew there are empowering people to love their skin and restore their confidence, and I’ll follow it up with the comment on your website, with clean, sustainable skin care products filled with the most powerful natural ingredients in the world.

6
0:10:31
Amazing.

2
0:10:32
Amen.

1
0:10:33
Amen. So, okay, we understand the acne and the acne scars. I mean, things people are going to be blown away when they see some of the before and after pictures, but again about the aging, a lot of people I know are getting older and could use a little extra moisture. What kind of products do you… is it the same product or a different line of products?

1
0:10:53
What do you have?

2
0:10:54
For the aging?

1
0:10:55
Yeah, anti-aging.

2
0:10:56
Well, the beautiful thing is because we’re natural, we can do the problem skin and aging at the same time. Okay.

4
0:11:04
So the skin renewal.

2
0:11:05
And in fact, the one secret is in the blemish products, we have four different blemish products, acne products. We like the word blemish instead of acne because acne is just one disease. But I snuck in or I added all the anti-aging things into the problem skin products so that you feel good and you have renewed skin at the end of it.

2
0:11:31
Oh good, you’re a sneaker. I like that you snuck it in there, Matty.

1
0:11:35
Yes, a little mad scientist. I’m actually not that. I don’t like that.

2
0:11:41
I’m the business dude. Dr. Bill, I have a PhD.

4
0:11:44
He’s a mad scientist. He’s literally a mad scientist.

2
0:11:46
Listen, a business dude and a mad scientist are a great couple.

1
0:11:50
And now we’ve got a marketing genius on top of us.

5
0:11:54
What more do you need?

2
0:11:55
Who’s the marketing genius? Benjamin Cox is joining our company. We had some snafu’s and we’re actually back in the gate getting funding. COVID literally knocked our wind out of us and almost knocked us over and almost killed

4
0:12:15
us.

2
0:12:16
But we’re back, we’re going to get funded and yeah, we’re teed up ready to go.

1
0:12:22
Yeah, I noticed you were in some stores and then, you know, obviously things stopped because people weren’t going to stores. But there is on your blog site, talking about you’re involved with Ulta Beauty. Are you still involved with them now?

2
0:12:34
No, no, Ulta, we are not in any retail shelves at this time. Okay, you’ll be back. Yeah, we had an issue with driving the customer into the store. Well, didn’t a lot of people have that issue during COVID? Yes. But anyhow, one reason I take full responsibility

2
0:12:57
with the digital marketing issue. Yep. I did not have the money to turn on both digital and retail. I focused on retail because Target Corporation incubated us right in the in the Target takeoff incubator.

1
0:13:09
Okay, but you’re good. Now you’re good. Now you’re back in action. You’re going to soar to the top. And I’m a supporter because I read everything. And I’m, hey, I can’t wait to try this stuff. So you’ve got a new fan almost. If it works, holy cow, I know a lot of people, Mattie.

2
0:13:25
Oh, I get messages every day. Here’s one I just got at 840 this morning.

1
0:13:32
Do we have enough time for that, Bob? I don’t think we have enough time for the comment. I’m sorry, Mattie Shirley. Oh, we’re out. But I’ll post it for you when I put the podcast up. You can give me the comment and I’ll put it up there.

1
0:13:41
Mattie Shirley, the founder and CEO of Skin Kick. Check it out, skinkick.com and watch where they’re going. They’re going to the top. Thank you so much. Have a great day. Can’t wait to try the product.

1
0:13:50
Can’t wait to try the product.

3
0:13:51
Bye bye.
