Here’s a story about the power of intention! I got looped in to Linda Arroz’s latest story when I caught her photo below on her FB page. Linda’s from LA and is in what’s called a ‘looping session’ for her character in an upcoming film debuting at the Sundance Film Festival called “Before You Know It” – written and directed by some ‘badass women’ she says. Linda’s got a good story. She began her career in 1979 in Flint, Michigan, working at Chevrolet’s V8 Engine Plant as an assembly line worker, got laid off, and moved to Oklahoma to work at the GM Plant. Went to the University of Oklahoma and worked as an image and career consultant until she was discovered by two reps for the Spiegel catalog, which had just launched a plus-size division. They signed her as a spokesmodel making her one of the first plus-size models to get a contract with a major brand. She went on to be a magazine editor, author, Hollywood stylist , TV personality, and motivational speaker. Recently, (she’s now 64), she was wanted to reboot her speaking career etc. so she started adding the following intention to her meditations “I get paid to speak.” …Then one day… a neighbor stopped by…You can hear the rest of her story Live today on the show at 10am EST 1490 WGCH!
Her power of intention led to a speaking gig in a movie as an actor, and now she’s been cast in another film and possibly one more for next year!

Linda sits on the board of Fashion Group International Foundation Los Angeles, is active in architectural preservation, and a member of the Los Angeles Conservancy Modern Committee. At one time she made the “25 Most Powerful Players” a list of influencers and power brokers in the Los Angeles fashion industry, by the California Apparel News.
