Top Of Mind This Thanksgiving Week For Most Americans Is ‘Family’…the joy of it, the lack of it, or the new version of it, and the emotional pangs of ‘The Family That Used To Be’. Nothing like an annual tradition to call attention to who you love and who is missing from the table this year. The fortunate and the less fortunate. My long time friend and business associate Paul Lambert writes a wonderful blog that usually hits an emotional chord and today I’ve invited him to join me at 10:20am eastern to talk about family. Paul just wrote a blog about Disney and Pixar’s new animated smash hit “CoCo”. The essence of the story is about an extended family, some who are alive and with us in this world, and others who have passed but are alive and well in the “Land of the Deceased”. The film does a beautiful job of showing family differences, long standing friction, and a need to pull together and forgive in the end ? which serves as the catalyst to the story’s magical outcome.

Its theme “seize the moment” is beautifully leveraged throughout the plot he says, ? a story of a boy with a dream who has to fight resisters and obstacles before that dream comes true. Kristen-Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez of “Avenue Q”, “Book of Mormon”, and “Frozen” fame have written an emotional tear-jerker “Remember Me” that had him reaching for Kleenex. But then Paul always reaches for Kleenex. LOL

Below: Happy Thanksgiving from Pixar Studios ? Paul Enjoys (Sneak Preview) of “Coco” with thanks to Pixar Executive Suz Loshin ( a doll of a girl I’m proud to know) and her proud Dad, Ron, for getting him into a sneak preview of “Coco”
